Make your voting plan

Voting guide

A simple checklist. Every step links to the City of Windsor, which is the authority on how to vote.
  1. Check that you can vote

Eligibility rules are set by the province. Read the City's official voter information before relying on any summary.

  2. Check you're on the voter list

The City explains how to confirm or add your name to the list of electors.

  3. Bring acceptable identification

Only certain documents are accepted. Check the official list rather than guessing.

  4. Know your ward

You can vote at any designated Election Day voting location within your ward.

  5. Pick your Election Day location

Use the City's 2026 list. Do not use older polling locations, and the closest location may not be in your ward.

  6. Need help or can't make it?

Accessibility supports and proxy voting (someone voting on your behalf) are explained by the City.

  7. Location list not imported yet

We have not added the 2026 location list to Hypervote. Use the City's official list(opens in a new tab).
